George Eustice Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Natural Environment, Water and Rural Affairs, will be officially opening NSA Sheep 2014 on Wednesday 30th July 2014.
Being held at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, the opening ceremony will be taking place at 10am on the NSA stand (Wye Hall 3, stand 89).
“We’re absolutely delighted that George Eustice is attending NSA Sheep 2014, and has agreed to officially open the event,” comments NSA Chief Executive Phil Stocker.
“We have been working with Mr Eustice on a number of policy issues that we feel are preventing sheep farming from reaching its potential, and I am sure a day spent at the Sheep Event will further cement his appreciation of the importance of the sheep sector to the UK’s economy and environment,” Phil adds.
“Mr Eustice comes from a farming family in Cornwall and the recent Cabinet reshuffle means his shoulders will carry much of the ongoing work of this Ministerial team, hopefully providing good continuity for, and engagement with the industry. I look forward to welcoming him to NSA Sheep 2014 and continuing to work with him in the future,” Phil concludes.
The seminar programme kicks of straight away after the official opening ceremony, with the first titled ‘Liver fluke – adapting control according to threat’’ taking place at 10:30am. This is followed by a full line up of technical seminars including the ‘Big Debate’, chaired by Tom Heap. For anyone interested in the sheep industry, this is a must attend event.
