Impressive growth for a Suffolk energy company has led to expansion of their Woodbridge-based team.

East Green Energy has appointed two new members of staff in recent weeks, boosting their commercial offering and service delivery.

Danny Milne joins the business as a Service Engineer.

An apprentice-trained plumbing and heating engineer, Danny learned his trade with a well-respected Suffolk heating, plumbing and engineering company.

He has worked as a service engineer with British Gas prior to joining the East Green Energy team and has gained expertise in biomass boiler servicing through additional training.

Stephen Knott BEng (hons) takes the position of Head of Commercial Sector at East Green.

A multi-skilled engineer with first-class analytical, design and problem solving skills, he arrives at the business from Schueco UK Limited in Milton Keynes. In this former post he held the position of Solar Engineer and Trainer.

Stephen has a broad knowledge base in the renewable sector and will be heading up the expanding commercial division of East Green Energy.

Robbie Gawthrop, Technical Director of East Green Energy, said: “We have enjoyed some great growth within the business over recent months and are delighted to be able to welcome two very strong team members to East Green Energy.

“In their respective roles, they will play a vital role to helping us ensure that East Anglian customers enjoy their transition to renewable energy measures, with continual guidance from our team around incentive schemes and other energy efficient approaches in the domestic and commercial landscape.”

East Green Energy, which has been running since 2007, has seen great commercial interest from rural businesses – including farms – which are off the gas supply grid.
