Lantra Scotland, the sector skills council for the land-based and environmental industries, is urging employers, colleges, teachers and trainers to put their nominations forward for the annual Land-based and Aquaculture Learner of the Year Awards, which take place on March 3rd 2016. The closing date for nominations is Friday 20th November, just two weeks away.

Kevin Patrick, Director of Lantra Scotland:

“We’re keen to have people in the land-based, aquaculture and environmental sectors getting their nominations in to us by 20th November, as this allows our judges enough time to choose the finalists for our awards. When someone is nominated, it can have a positive and lasting impact on them, giving learners of all ages confidence and self-belief as they venture out into their new careers. It’s always inspiring finding out about the talented learners out there, and we’re looking forward to getting told about lots more this year to.”

“Lantra relies on support from across the sector to run the awards, and companies or organisations interested in getting involved with sponsorship opportunities should contact us as soon as possible.”
