AGCO a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment and infrastructure is proud to announce, the appointment of Mark Casement as Director Sales and Country Manager for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

Effective from 1 August 2014, Mark succeeds to the position held previously by David Sleath, who has taken early retirement to focus on family business ventures outside of agriculture.

Previously Country Manager, Western Europe Regional Distribution, Mark’s new role gives him overall responsibility for all of the sales and aftersales functions and activities of AGCO’s four well-known tractor and farm machinery brands, namely, Challenger, Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra. These are managed by four distinct brand teams within AGCO numbering more than 80 professional staff, and sold and supported by 92 separate dealer businesses.

“The UK and Ireland market is one of the most important to AGCO world-wide, so I am delighted to have been appointed to lead a team of dedicated and experienced colleagues as the company enters a new period of growth,” commented Mark.

“I believe that AGCO has the best portfolio of brands and products in the industry, with many exciting new introductions to offer farmers and growers in the near future. Our dealers are investing in that future with us, and we will continue to build an ever-stronger position together. Long-term global demand for food is forecast to increase significantly, and this will underpin the need for continuous investment in agricultural machinery. I look forward to seeing our business, and that of our dealers and customers, growing profitably in the years ahead”.
