The promotion of Fraser Castle MSc MRICS to Partner and the welcoming of Naomi Game as Senior Surveyor in a diverse role that will include rural practice, will expand the area of the Guildford team’s range of services.

Fraser joined Bruton Knowles South East Regional office in 2000 as a graduate trainee. Since then he has developed a considerable record of success in managing complex developments in both the public and private sectors including mixed use residential and commercial developments such as his current role in piloting the complex large-scale disposal of major assets owned by Surrey Police Authority, the largest disposal of police authority assets seen in the UK.

Fraser provides development consultancy advice and also advises clients on acquisitions and disposals, as well as providing valuations for a range of purposes including financial reporting, secured lending and taxation.

Head of Bruton Knowles South East practice, Steven Drennan comments: “This well deserved promotion is recognition not only of Fraser’s powerful contribution to Bruton Knowles over a very successful 13 year career with the company but also of the vital role he now has in further developing our key position in the South East as a dependable source of advice on any aspect of the property market. His expertise in bringing together private and public sector strategic opportunities will be put to good use with the growth in initiatives such as Surrey Police becoming more commonplace.”

To support the growth in the region, Naomi Game MSc MRICS joins the team as Senior Surveyor in a broad role delivering a wide range of professional advice and carrying out commercial estate management, as well as enhancing Bruton Knowles’ rural property expertise in the South East. Naomi has over 5 years practicing farm agency across the region, having undertaken professional valuations and worked closely on agricultural business management with clients in the banking sector, as well as offering estate residential property management on behalf of owners and investors, to address a range of specialist agricultural and rural issues, such as leases, licenses and planning applications for farm buildings. Naomi’s wider experience also features retail valuation and industrial estate management .

Steven Drennan outlined the importance of Naomi’s appointment for the firm: “We are delighted to welcome Naomi to the Guildford office, and to Bruton Knowles. Naomi’s strong rural background and unique blend of skills gained from a career providing advice to the commercial and public sector, make her a key addition to our team. Bruton Knowles has a 150 year history of providing advice to the rural sector, and, in our opinion, the rural and farming markets remain one of the most secure and highly appealing investment opportunities available. The potential to utilize lower margin agricultural land is largely due to population increase, plus a number of additional factors are attracting investment. In particular, the surge of growth in renewable energy production – such as solar and wind farms, natural gas exploration and hydro-electric schemes, further consolidated by the range of complex but accessible tax mechanisms offered to owners of agricultural land, thus further incentivising the entry of non-farming buyers into a very appealing market.”
