Trade exhibitors are reminded to book their stand space for this year’s East of England Smithfield Festival immediately to avoid disappointment.

Event organizer Kerry Buttriss said trade stand space was selling fast and those exhibitors who had yet to book their space should do so now to ensure they were able to fulfill their requirements.

“We’ve been delighted with the strong response from trade exhibitors that we’ve already received, with a significant number of trade stands already booked covering a wide range of interests.

“However, there is still limited space available and we encourage anyone interested in exhibiting to contact us immediately to discuss their requirements.”

Trade stands at this year’s event will cover a wide range of livestock industry supplies and advice, including the latest developments in livestock breeding, feeding and management, said Mrs Buttriss.

“The UK livestock industry is at the forefront of the world when it comes to genetics and livestock technology and this year’s East of England Smithfield Festival will showcase all that is great in the UK livestock sector.

“Alongside this exceptional an exceptional show of top quality primestock the show will also help showcase the very best of British livestock breeding.”

Mrs Buttriss said beef and sheep farmers had endured a tough time recently, with prime sheep and cattle prices under pressure over the past 12 months. “With that in mind we expect a bumper crowd for the East of England Smithfield Festival all keen to find ways of improving their businesses profitability.

“It really is an event that suppliers and associated trade companies in the beef sector cannot afford to miss. A day at the East of England Smithfield Festival will give farmers the chance to find innovative and proven ideas to help manage their costs and boost output at the same time,” she explained

“We are looking forward to building on the success of previous events and the early indications are that both livestock and trade stand numbers will increase again this year.”
