R C Baker Ltd drew in the crowds at this month’s Moreton-in-Marsh Agricultural Show with a brightly coloured pink CLAAS Arion 640, a pink feather boa and a competition to win a model tractor.

This year R C Baker Ltd, the Oxfordshire based agricultural contracting company, ran possibly the most popular competition at the all-day agricultural show with over 100 human and canine entries. Armed with two pink buckets full of pink accessories, the team challenged visitors to dress up and have their photograph taken next to the pink vinyl wrapped tractor. Each photo has been uploaded to the R C Baker Ltd Facebook group page where entrants are invited to share their photographs with friends in a bid to gain the most amount of ‘likes’ to win a model CLAAS tractor.

“The response we had from the public was overwhelming; families, friends and poor unsuspecting pets adorned themselves with pink feather boas, fairy wings, a cow boy hat, tiara and even pink fluffy handcuffs” says Jennie Steenkamp, Commercial Manager for the company. The CLAAS Arion 640 took nearly eight hours to vinyl wrap in the workshop at their premises the evening before the show and it was all hands on deck to get it completed. “It was certainly worth the effort just by the sheer number of entries to the competition and it has certainly raised our profile on social media considerably” says Mrs. Steenkamp.

Entrants to the competition have until this Sunday the 14th September to get as many likes as possible and the winner is to be announced on Monday 15th September. To see all of the photographs taken on the day, please visit: https://www.facebook.com/rcbagricontractors
