Thousands turn out to support Peterborough’s Autumn Show!
From sheep racing and award-winning livestock to giant vegetables and local food produce, visitors turned out in their thousands to support Peterborough’s Autumn Show.
Over 8,000 people enjoyed the mid-October sunshine at the East of England Showground to experience a family day of fun, fur, feathers and much more.
Animal antics throughout the day included a range of equine events, canine attractions, birds of prey displays, duck and sheepdog demonstrations and the crowd-pulling Lamb National!
The Supreme London Championships Small Livestock Show, billed as the rabbit world’s equivalent of Crufts, was a huge attraction – as were the trade stands, food hall and the Giant Vegetable competition.
Peterborough Arena managing director Keith Dalton said: “It was a fantastic day – and the feedback from the many people I have spoken to has been great. The weather was kind and that certainly helped, but this year we introduced some exciting new elements to the show – alongside the traditional and popular attractions – which certainly captured our visitors’ imaginations.”
