Largest entry of Hereford bulls for over a decade
Hereford Autumn Show & Sale 6th October 2012.
The Hereford Cattle Society’s Autumn Show & Sale at Hereford Market will have the largest entry of bulls for many years, with in excess of 60 bulls on parade.
However, it’s not a case of quantity over quality with many of the bulls qualifying as Superior Carcase Sires and/or having taken Show Championships around the UK in 2012.
Seven bulls qualify for the Superior Carcase Sires Scheme, a Scheme established in 2010, aimed at promoting sires with carcase attributes which will to enhance the value of their progeny. The Scheme is underpinned by a £500 cash back from the Society to the purchaser – please see the Society website for details.
Some of the star bulls on offer include the following show stoppers; Male Champion at Agri-Expo, Intermediate Champion at the National Horned Show, Scottish National Male Champion, Champion at East of England Show, Junior Champion and Inter-Breed Performance Champion at Royal Ulster, Intermediate & Junior Champions at the National Poll Show, Royal Welsh Junior Champion and the Reserve Supreme Champion at Kington Show.
In the Female Section there is a large number of excellent females being put up for auction from the well respected and highly successful Mara Herd from RN & MA Borwick, Northamptonshire. Additionally, there are a number of prize winners from across the country including the 2012 Surrey County Show Female Champion.
