Suffolk Agricultural Association has seen a number of corporate enquiries about the 2012 Suffolk Show within the last few weeks, following confirmation that the two day event will take place on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th June.

Dozens have already contacted the Association to confirm their tradestand intentions, or to commit to corporate hospitality or business sponsorships.

Executive Director for Suffolk Agricultural Association, Chris Bushby, is pleased to see the number of advance bookings from East Anglian based corporate and believes their enquiries are indicative of the great prestige with which the two day event is held.

“We have known for many years that businesses within this region really hold the event in high regard as a sales or exposure opportunity,” he said.

“That’s not just for farming or agriculturally biased businesses, but for those in retail, entertainment, food and drink, tourism and much more.

“To know that we’ve had this many enquiries before the close of the year is really reassuring and shows that even though there are some uncertainties about the economy, our local businesses and business leaders clearly place the Suffolk Show as a priority event for gaining them access to their customers.”

The Association is always keen to reflect changes in consumer priorities and this year has reflected that in its 2012 plans by enhancing the clothing retail offering and attracting a larger number of boutiques for an area of the Show to be known as Fifth Avenue.

It will also be enhancing its food and drink arena and attracting more business brands with a focus on regional produce and healthy lifestyle choices.

Sponsors and trade-stand holders clearly still value the benefits of their place within the Suffolk Show activity.

Christopher Bushby continued, ‘Businesses operating in Suffolk tell us they really value what the Suffolk Show brings to the region in terms of a great community event and an opportunity for people to hear about their brand and services.
