Frome Show – top trainer sponsors racehorse class

CHAMPION NATIONAL Hunt trainer Paul Nicholls is to sponsor a major new class at Frome Show this year.

The Ditcheat based trainer, who has top racers Kauto Star, Big Bucks and Denman under training at his Manor Farm Stables, has put his name to the Thoroughbred and Retired Racehorse Association class which will act as a qualifier for the Associations Ridden Championship at Peterborough in August next year.

Joint chairman of the shows Horse Section Pam Norris said that Paul Nicholls sponsorship was a great boost for Fromes annual show.

The equestrian classes have been always been a major draw and by adding a class which should attract a number of very fine horses well be making it even more so.

She added: Were very grateful to Paul Nicholls for his support for the show.

The Thoroughbred and Retired Racehorse Association class will not be the only new equestrian class at the show, which takes place at the West Woodlands Showground on Saturday, September 10th. Also scheduled to take place are a new pleasure driving class which is open to newcomers to the sport and one for working hunters on a lead rein.
