Awards success for Milk Link at the Great Yorkshire Show
Milk Link, the UKs leading farmer-owned dairy co-operative and largest cheese manufacturer, collected 15 awards at this years Great Yorkshire Show, including the prestigious Danisco Grand Prix prize for Welsh-based Llandyrnog Creamerys Finest Mature Cheddar.
In addition to the top prize, Milk Link won six other gold awards. Devons Taw Valley Creamery received three gold awards for its JS Special Reserve Red Leicester, Waitrose Mature Cheddar, and Waitrose Extra Mature Cheddar. Lockerbie Creamery, in Dumfriesshire, Scotland won for its medium cheddar and salted butters. Meanwhile, Lockerbies unsalted butters were awarded both gold and silver in their category.
Taw Valley continued its success with silver awards for its M&S Double Gloucester and Tickler Extra Mature Cheddar. Leicestershire-based Tuxford & Tebbett Creamerys Stilton was also awarded a silver prize.
Milk Link received four bronze awards, including a runner-up for the Danisco Grand Prix.
