Cheshire Cheese Campaign gives Joseph Heler the Midas touch
In a show of support for the Cheshire Cheese Campaign that Joseph Heler have been so heavily involved with, the UKs largest independent cheese manufacturer only entered product into the Cheshire Cheese categories at this years Cheshire Show. This decision resulted in one of their best years to date and saw them walking away with two golds, a silver and two bronze awards. What better confirmation that this Cheshire Cheese manufacturer believes Cheshire Cheese is here to stay?!
Taking a prominent position on the Love Cheese Eat Cheshire stand, queues of people stretched throughout the cheese tent to buy a chunk of Joseph Helers award-winning Cheshire cheese.
Managing Director of Joseph Heler Cheese, Mike Heler says: We are of course elated to receive such high praise for our Cheshire cheese in its home county, however, this years awards are particularly pertinent as we are currently working so hard to save this exceptional cheese.

Backed by TESCO, SAINSBURYS and MORRISONS who stock their award winning Cheshire Cheese varieties, Joseph Heler have carried out a series of tasting sessions throughout the country as part of the campaign, to raise awareness and remind people how great it tastes. Joseph Heler have also launched a Facebook campaign to discover the Ultimate Cheshire Cheese Recipe. Celebrating the best of Cheshire cheese, Joseph Heler are on the hunt for the countrys best Cheshire cheese recipes, whether its a family favourite handed down through the generations or something conjured up in a moment of inspiration.
The event, was a massive success for the all concerned, with attendees eagerly turning out to watch the judging taking place. Joseph Helers awards were as follows:
GOLD & SILVER – Traditional White Cheshire
GOLD & BRONZE – Coloured Cheshire
BRONZE – Blue Cheshire
However, it wasnt just their Cheshire Cheese that was on a winning streak. Helton Damion Roz part of the Helton Herd of cows owned by Joseph Heler Farms picked up two awards, first prize for Junior Heifer in Milk’ category and ‘Interbreed Heifer in Milk’ Champion.
