Worcestershire YFC Winners at Three Counties!!!
Worcestershire have proudly been handed the title of the Winners Overall of the Young Farmers Section of the Three Counties Show.
Worcestershire along with Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Young Farmers Clubs battled it out last weekend to be crowned the 2011 champions.
Members from all over Worcestershire took part in the competitions which varied from the traditional sheep shearing and stock judging to the frankly hilarious ones, bale pushing and bath racing! Over 150 members took part in the competitions from all over Worcestershire and proved that Worcestershire are a cut above the rest!
Hannah Talbot, County Vice Chairman states I am so proud of all the hard work and effort our Worcestershire members have put in to making this a really successful year. I would just like to say a huge thankyou to all that have helped us regain the title as Three Counties winners! Let hope we can retain it next year!
Worcestershire Federation Of Young Farmers Clubs is a rural youth organisation ran by its members for its members completely voluntarily. It is open to anyone aged between 10 and 26 years old and aims to provide fun activities, learning opportunities and great achievements for all.
County Youth Development Leader Katie Ainsworth explains We are really proud of our members who took part in The Three Counties Show and I would personally like to thank each and every one of you who helped us in achieving the prestigious title of Winners Of The Three Counties Young Farmers Section. Considering it is all voluntary you must acknowledge the dedication and drive that all these members have for our Federation and I for one am extremely proud to be a part of it. We welcome every one with open arms! Well done Worcestershire!!!
