IOG Saltex – the event that puts exhibitors in front of potential new buyers
A survey of visitors to last years IOG SALTEX open space management show has revealed that visitors to the show who are involved in purchasing decisions do not see any non-supplier sales representatives in an average month.
According to the results of independent research carried out at the three-day event in Windsor this year, September 6-8 just 21 per cent of visitors see only one non-supplier sales representative in an average month, while 27 per cent see only two or three.
In addition, the research also shows that 26 per cent of the audience were first-time visitors to the show and 22 per cent had visited in earlier years but not in 2009 therefore, 48 per cent of the decision-makers brought new money to the show.
This reinforces one of the IOG SALTEX mantras that the show is the only place where exhibitors can meet a pool of hitherto unknown decision-makers and prospective new suppliers, says IOG SALTEX Sales Director Clare Johnson.
The survey also revealed that 77 per cent of visitors (6,586 people) were involved in selecting, recommending or buying products and services.
It is clear that companies which do not exhibit at IOG SALTEX are therefore missing out on an enormous pool of potential business, adds Clare.
IOG SALTEX 2011 will be held on September 6-8 at Windsor Racecourse, Berks, and will embrace fine turf and sports surfaces, turf maintenance equipment, childrens outdoor play and safety surfacing, landscaping, contractors, commercial vehicles, outdoor leisure and facilities management, as well as software and security equipment. The show is attended by open space management professionals and contractors from groundsmen and greenkeepers through to play officers, architects, designers and surveyors as well as local authority and outdoor leisure facility managers.
