The Oxford&Cambridge GOAT Race 2011
Now in its third year, the Oxford & Cambridge Goat Race is about to take place on exactly the same date, at exactly the same time, as the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race.
Last years Goat Races success was equally unexpected as almost 1000 goaty revelers turned up! And this year promises to be just as popular as two goats, one named Oxford (AKA Bentley) and one named Cambridge (Bramble), prepare to tear around the cobbled track of Spitalfields City Farm.
Gates open at 1pm with goat related nonsense happening right up until the race itself at 5pm.
The program includes the Nice Butt Contest, the How Low Can You Goat competition and a breakaway Oxford & Cambridge Stoat Race at 3pm.
Delamere Dairys Jimmy the larger-than-life Goat will be managing the pundit stand and cheering on last years winner Bramble who the specialist dairy now sponsors.
The Goat Races resident DJ and acoustic performers will be there providing entertainment throughout the afternoon with a photographer to capture the eccentric magic. Market stalls will be selling food and drink.
