Denhay wins ‘Best Bacon’ award at Taste of the West

Judges at the Taste of the West Awards on November 10^th recognised the consistent flavour and texture of Denhay as they pronounced Denhays Smoked Streaky the Best Bacon in the six counties of the South West.

Presenting the Award Nigel Barden, of Radio 2s Foodie Thursday fame, read out the judges comments which included; Please dont change a thing, this bacon has been perfect for many years, keep doing exactly what you are doing!

The latest award from Taste of the West has been added to the 75 awards already given to Denhay Dry Cured Bacon which is made from high welfare British Pork and hand rubbed with sea salt.  This traditional and time honoured method produces bacon which crisps beautifully, tastes succulent and does not leak white liquid as it is cooked.
