Agricultural engineering from Vogelsang at EuroTier 2010
Essen (Oldb.)/Germany, 22nd October 2010 At the EuroTier 2010 exhibition (Hanover, 16th to 19th November), the company Hugo Vogelsang Maschinenbau GmbH, an established specialist provider of pumping, shredding, distribution and manure spreading technology for agriculture, industry and municipalities, will be presenting a further innovation for distribution and dosing technology using a dribble bar. The new DosiMat LVX slurry distributor series permits even more reliable and economical slurry spreading. By optimising the design of the distributor, we have significantly improved the cutting results, explains Harald Vogelsang, managing director of the company. Since the wear parts can be changed without removing the seal, this also enhances the service and maintenance-friendly aspects.

DosiMat LVX slurry distributor with optimized design
The DosiMat LVX features optimized, 3D-lasered cutters, which, in the new version, are located on the inside of the distributor. This permits better cutting results, whilst further enhancing the already high distribution precision of the slurry. The DosiMat LVX can be combined easily with all standard spreading systems and tanks.
Mobile tank filling station
The new products on show at the exhibition also include a more powerful pump system for filling tanks featuring an integrated heavy matter separator. Using a powerful Vogelsang rotary lobe pump, delivery rates of up to 8,000 l/min are achieved and the filling times are minimized. Vogelsang has also optimized the overall design of its mobile power pumping system. The now more compact design simplifies system handling. A higher degree of separation of foreign objects also ensures smooth operation even under arduous conditions.
New pump series VX 230 boosts delivery rate
With its VX230-320Q pump, Vogelsang will be exhibiting its very latest and at the same time largest pump series, the VX 230. Thanks to a delivery rate of more than 10,000 l/min, the pump permits shorter filling times and, in doing so, ensures a longer service life. What is more, the pump affords optimum accessibility, since it is available in the proven Quick-Service design. In agriculture, the pump can be used for mobile and stationary tank filling stations, as a pump for self-propelled vehicles and for tank trucks.
Further successful products for agriculture
At EuroTier 2010, Vogelsang will also be presenting numerous products for agriculture that are already established on the market. Vogelsangs range of technology is based on its elastomer-coated rotary lobe pump. Developed and patented back in 1970, it today sets international standards in pumping technology and is subject to ongoing further development. This year, Vogelsang is presenting the modified Injection II version. It permits better handling of foreign objects by the pump, which extends its service life considerably.
From its shredding technology product group, Vogelsang will be presenting its RotaCut wet cutter and its X?Ripper double-shaft shredder. Both product series are adapted in constantly new variants to meet a wide range of cutting requirements in agriculture.
Vogelsangs key product groups also include biogas technology. With its QuickMix II fermenter feeding system, Vogelsang verifiably increases the efficiency of biogas plants. As confirmed by the European research project EU-AGRO-BIOGAS, launched by the EU to boost the efficiency of biogas plants, it increases the specific gas yield by up to 15% and reduces the amount of energy required for mixing and feeding in the substrates by more than 40%.
SwingUp FarmRacer challenges visitors to enter a competition
With the video game SwingUp FarmRacer, Vogelsang will be challenging visitors to its agricultural technology stand to take part in a short competition. The player who fertilises the field the fastest and most uniformly, saves fertiliser and wins the game. An iPod touch (8 GB) from Apple will be awarded as a prize to each days new winner.
