Ahead of the All-New Sportage going on sale today, Kia Motors (UK) Ltd are kicking things off with a fully integrated marketing campaign for the new model. With an investment of £5million, promotional activity will be across television, radio, web and print.

Mark Hopkins, Marketing Director Kia Motors (UK) Ltd said: “Since its launch in 2010 the third generation Sportage has sold over 90,000 units and we are looking to build on this success with the All-New Sportage in our biggest marketing spend to date. The integrated campaign will highlight the new technologies and improvements that the All-New Sportage contains”.

Outdoor digital billboards showcasing the campaign will be set up across major cities including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle and Glasgow. This launched from February 1.

More than £4 million is being invested in a four month television campaign, which will demonstrate some of the latest innovative features in the car. This will be going live on February 5 and will run right through to May in highly targeted programmes, such as live sport and premier drama broadcast on ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky Sports, Sky Living, Sky Atlantic, E4, More 4, Film 4 and Dave.

National radio will also be promoting launch events at Kia dealerships, featuring on Magic, Heart and Capital. The adverts will promote the ‘Big WOW’ event, which will offer customers a competitive package with the first three services free of charge, if they choose to place an order on Sportage between February 5 and 29.

Kia have also formed an exclusive partnership with The Times and The Sunday Times, which will see the Sportage feature alongside several famous faces in both written and video features. The national press campaign will also be going live from the first week of February.
