Manufacturer TOBROCO Machines has been nominated for the Koning Willem I prize 2016 in the category small and medium enterprises.

This national enterprise award can be described as ‘the Oscars for the Dutch industry” and is a reward for real entrepreneurship.

After a comprehensive procedure amongst 73 companies, there are three nominees left.

Founder and owner Toine Brock said:

“This nomination is a reward for the complete TOBROCO team. If you see what we have achieved so far and what we have planned for the coming years, then we can be proud“.

On Thursday 26 May, the winner will be announced during a special award show. Her Royal Highness Queen Maxima is honorary President of the Koning Willem I foundation and will be attending this event.

TOBROCO Machines, located in Oisterwijk, The Netherlands, is the manufacturer of GIANT (telescopic) wheel loaders, telehandlers, skid steer loaders and attachments. The company was founded in 1996 and the production of wheel loaders started in 2001 in an old stable.

After the introduction the company showed a yearly grow of approximately 20%. This year will be the first year that TOBROCO will produce 2500 GIANT’s and they will be shipped to 40 countries. In 2013 TOBROCO has opened a factory in Hungary, where the welding and cutting of loader frames and attachments takes place. At the moment there is an enthusiastic team of 140 employees in Oisterwijk and 70 employees in Eger (Hungary).

The Koning Willem I prize is a national enterprise award. Since 1958 this prize is rewarded every two-years by the Koning Willem I foundation.

The rewards are divided into two categories: large enterprises and small and medium enterprises. Companies that have shown courage, decisiveness, sustainability, perseverance and entrepreneurship throughout the year can be nominated.

The Koning Willem I foundation has the goal to give publicity and interest for positive developments in the Dutch economy and to stimulate creative and innovative entrepreneurship.
