URSULA Agriculture is launching the first ever UK survey into use of drones in agriculture, and inviting attendees at the Cereals event to share their experiences of using this innovative technology.
“Interest in drones in farming has exploded in the past few years but to what extent they are being considered a serious business tool is still unknown,” said Steve Keyworth, CEO of URSULA Agriculture.
“While the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International predicts that 80% of commercial drones will be used for agricultural purposes, we want to get UK agriculture’s view on this.”
The survey is intended to help improve understanding of attitudes towards drones amongst farmers, agronomists, contractors and others involved in agriculture, and to help identify what additional benefits drones could provide. The results of the survey will be published later in the summer.
Cereals Event 2015
Those visiting the Cereals event with an interest are invited to complete the survey at the URSULA Agriculture stand, number 419. The survey will also be available at www.surveymonkey.com/s/URSULA_Agriculture. All completed surveys will be entered into a free prize draw to win an exclusive URSULA Agriculture gilet.
