Carwyn Jones, the First Minister of Wales, will open Bees for Development’s newly renovated offices and celebrate the launch of the Monmouthshire Honey Hub.

Bees for Development’s Director, Dr Nicola Bradbear says:  “We are delighted to welcome Carwyn Jones to launch our newly renovated offices and the Monmouthshire Honey Hub.  Support from the Rural Grants Conversion Scheme of Monmouthshire’s Rural Development Plan has been instrumental in enabling Bees for Development to expand our work”.

The Monmouthshire Honey Hub is a market place for a wide range of honey produced by beekeepers across the county.  It is a new addition to the Bees for Development shop in Agincourt Street – beside the Shire Hall in Monmouth.  All profits from the shop support Bees for Development’s work combating poverty in developing countries through beekeeping.  Bees for Development works with beekeeping groups and community organisations across the developing world, helping them to build sustainable livelihoods and to conserve bees.
