As a trainee manager back in the mid 1980s David was involved in the pioneering development of free range chicken.  Since then, he has held positions in hatchery management as well as in Moy Parks grandparent breeding division.  More recently, as General Manager for Agriculture Northern Ireland, David was responsible for all of Moy Parks agriculture activities from the grandparent scheme right through to the broilers that are delivered to the factory.

James French said: We are delighted to appoint David to this key position within Moy Park.  Moy Park prides itself in its involvement in the farming industry – which underpins its success in the Agriculture Division.  Over the last ten years, Moy Park has demonstrated its commitment to the poultry industry by proactively implementing market leading initiatives and David will be instrumental in continuing to drive this forward in the coming months and years.

Moy Park is the leading provider of fresh, locally farmed and locally produced chicken in the UK, and one of Europes largest growers of organic, free-range and corn fed birds.  Over the last ten years, Moy Park has demonstrated its commitment to the poultry industry by proactively implementing market leading initiatives as well as training and development programmes for its farmers.  Today, Moy Park works with almost 800 poultry farmers across Northern Ireland and England and processes over four million birds a week in the UK, as well as over one million turkeys per year.  Moy Park has four processing sites in the UK at Dungannon, Ballymena, Ashbourne and Anwick and remains committed to providing the highest standards across its range of products.
