Blue skies and excellent sales mark New Hollands fifty years at the Royal Highland Show
New Holland Agriculture and Scotlands leading outdoor event, the Royal Highland Show, have celebrated fifty years together.
At this years show, held in Ingliston on a 300 acre site just west of Edinburgh, New Holland was presented with a rosette by the shows organisers to recognise the fact that they had taken part in every Royal Highland Show for the last half century.
This year, the Royal Highland Show 2010 was dubbed The Greatest Show on Earth by the organisers and it certainly proved to be hugely successful for New Holland: Over the four days of the event, New Holland staff took eighteen orders for brand new New Holland machinery. They included two new combines, a new baler, and fifteen new tractors including a T3000, a T4000, a T5000 and a T6000.

The weather was fantastic from the moment we set up to the moment we packed away. This brought record crowds through the gates and, although it was noticeably quieter in all the machinery sections and quieter on our stand than normal, the people who came to us were serious buyers and were ready to spend their hard earned cash with us. We had an extremely successful few days.
