BRANSTON Ltds new lorry liveries are really attracting attention so much so, that motorists have been tooting their approval!

People have also emailing and writing in to the Branston bases in Lincolnshire, Somerset and Scotland to comment on the new liveries. There are 12 in the range so far, with a different design on each lorry.

Branston, the UKs leading supplier of potatoes, reports that people all over the country have been in touch to say they love the colourful designs featuring a variety of quirky potato characters, including King Edward, Desiree, Estima and many others.

Branstons account director Jo Parish said: The Branston liveries are really causing a stir. We had no idea they would be so popular. We have had lots of messages from members of the public, saying how great the designs are.

We wanted to give our liveries a new, contemporary theme which would appeal to a younger audience. At Branston, we love potatoes and we wanted to get message across particularly to the next generation of customers.

The Branston family features Desiree – a sexy pink potato with red lipstick,

Maris Peer a distinguished-looking gentleman, Saxon an enigmatic spud with shades, and Exquisa a dapper little potato in a top hat and bow tie.

The idea behind the livery designs was to create a bit of fun while delivering the message that potatoes are one of the best health foods there is, added Jo.

The first few livery designs highlighted some key messages about potatoes, including: Naturally fat free and high in fibre! More nutrients for your money than rice or pasta! and Variety is the spice of life. These were closely followed by a selection featuring some popular themes including: Youre the one that I want. Potatoes with the X-factor! and Im a potato get me out of here!

The liveries have been such a success, that Branston has another range of new designs ready to roll out soon.

We are working on them now and they are fantastic, added Jo. We really wanted our lorries to be eye-catching, while delivering a fun message. Well be building up the number of new liveries and really want people to let us know what they think and if theyve got any other suggestions.

All the livery designs can be seen on the Branston website at http://www.branston.com/fresh_potatoes/lorries/ Have you spotted them out on the road yet? If so, let us know what you think by emailing us: contact@branston.co.uk. And let us know if you have any ideas for other designs to add to the range.
