New biogas appointment

To help deal with the increasing number of enquiries for biogas plants Andrew Barkas has been appointed to a technical sales post by Rugeley, Staffordshire, based EnviTec Biogas UK Ltd.

As well as his sales function, he will be particularly involved in liaising with customers and their agents during the planning process. This will involve initial site surveys regarding their suitability for construction and planning requirements. He will be working closely with EnviTecs technical department.

Andrew has great experience in the construction industry. At the start of his career, for 18 years he was employed by EnviTecs sister company, ARM Buildings Ltd, progressing from junior draftsman to senior design estimator before taking up directorships in another Staffordshire engineering company allied to the construction industry.

He is positive about the role of biogas production in meeting the needs for renewable energy UK where legislation now appears to be on our side.

Married with two children, Andrew lives in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, where his hobbies include golf and motor sports.

EnviTec Biogas UK Ltd is a joint-venture company between ARM Buildings Ltd (part of the A Proctor Group) and EnviTec Biogas AG.
