The new Smart wood saw horse and Smart splitter promise safe, easy and eco-friendly log splitting

Lincoln, 18th May 2010 Spaldings today announced the expansion of its arboricultural range with the introduction of the Smart log splitter and the Smart holder saw horse. The new additions are quick and easy to set up and are ergonomically designed in Sweden for safe use by operators with limited experience. The low maintenance tools provide eco-friendly manual alternatives to powered log splitters.

The Smart holder saw horse has a patented claw that bites into logs to hold them firmly in place and presents them securely at waist height for either chainsaw or manual sawing. The saw horse is lightweight and easily portable when folded down flat. Easily assembled in less than a minute, the saw horse can hold logs from a diameter of 25mm – 230mm and virtually any length.

The Smart log splitter combines ergonomic design with gravity, applying up to 14 tons of splitting force whilst avoiding unnecessary backache which is often a result of chopping wood by axe. The integral splitting wedge ensures precise splitting every time and the compact design enables convenient storage.

Complete with a 1 year warranty the new additions can be used independently or partnered together for effective logging management. The Smart wood saw horse cuts the logs into manageable sizes which can then be cut into kindling by the Smart splitter. Effective as single tools or coupled together, the catalogue additions provide quality assured arboricultural necessities.
