Red Tractor goes to school
ISS Caterhouse has been awarded a seven year contract to supply Red Tractor assured meat for primary school meals in the London Borough of Redbridge starting in September.
School meals under the new contract with ISS Caterhouse will offer greater variety and pupils will also be able to enjoy farm assured meat underpinned by the stringent standards of production of the Red Tractor mark.
David Clarke, Chief Executive of Assured Food Standards said, “The fact that ISS has won the contract to supply schools in the London Borough of Redbridge with Red Tractor meat ensures that pupils will be served food that has been produced to high standards and checked by independent inspections. We are delighted to enter this education arena and Redbridge can be proud of their efforts to source quality assured meat from UK farms.”
Mark Davies, Director of ISS Caterhouse said, “The trusted certification of the Red Tractor mark means that our customers can be confident they are being supplied with food that meets high standards of food safety and hygiene, animal welfare and environmental protection. We are delighted to be working for schools and parents in Redbridge providing local school meals. Our relationship with Red Tractor ensures we supply them with quality, fresh assured meat from UK farms. As parents and grandparents ourselves we take this responsibility very seriously.”
