Spaldings charity tandem skydive aims to raise 5000 for RABI
A team of 13 brave Spaldings employees will be jumping out of a plane on 21st May to raise thousands of pounds for their charity partner the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
The team made up of employees from Spaldings Lincoln based head office will be jumping in tandem with a qualified instructor at Target Skysports at Hibaldstow airfield in North Lincolnshire.
Roger Chase, 49, who is Agricultural Sales Director for Spaldings, is one of the brave 13 taking part in the jump.
Mr Chase said: I have never taken part in a skydive before but it is something that I have always wanted to do, I have no idea what to expect but I am very excited and perhaps a little nervous too.
Doing the jump for RABI provides an extra incentive as we want to raise as much money as possible.
RABI is a national farming charity that provides financial and practical support to members of the agricultural community. Spaldings joined forces with the charity in January to help to raise money and awareness.
Spaldings has already raised 400 and are well on their way to reaching their goal of 5,000 by the time they jump on 21st May.
All of the money raised will be donated to RABI as the parachute jump is paid in part by the jumpers with Spaldings footing the remainder of the bill.
RABI are dedicated to helping people in all manner of situations whether its through emergency financial assistance or providing specialist equipment for people with disabilities, Roger explained. Every penny we raise will mean that RABI can continue their invaluable work in supporting the farming community.
