Livestock 2012: dairy coalition roadmap update
Farmers will have the opportunity for an update on the dairy coalition’s roadmap for the future at Livestock 2012 to be staged at The NEC, Birmingham on 4 and 5 September.
A business seminar hosted by the event organiser, the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers, on day one, will be led by NFU dairy board chairman, Mansel Raymond and focus on the coalition’s ten point plan.
RABDF chairman, David Cotton explains: “There will be a chance for every dairy farmer to review what the coalition has achieved to date including reversing the August milk price cuts, and the immediate points for future action including continuing to expose those whose damaging behaviour still undermines the liquid milk market and encouraging all milk buyers to create their own models that deliver a fair and sustainable price for farmers.”
He adds: “Information from this debate, together with that from over 50 more seminars and a record 530 trade exhibitors makes Livestock 2012 a must attend to do business all under one roof on one day.”
Martin Redfearn, national head of agriculture at Barclays, the event’s principal sponsor adds: “Livestock 2012 is the perfect event to mix with fellow producers and professionals from the farming industry, take advantage of the information and advice on offer as well as the best practice seminars to keep informed and up to date with the livestock industry.
“Barclays is proud to be principle sponsor at Livestock 2012 for the third consecutive year, demonstrating our on-going commitment to the agriculture sector and to UK livestock farmers. Our team of experienced agricultural managers will be present on the stand to discuss how we may help farmers manage their cash flow and financial needs.”
