The end of the nomination stage for this year’s Ceva Animal Welfare Awards is fast approaching. Time is running out to nominate farming professionals, vets, volunteers and charity workers deserving of recognition for their worthy contributions to animal welfare.
Now in its third year, the Farm Animal Welfare Award – in association with RABI and NADIS, looks to recognise and celebrate the important welfare work which happens daily within the farming industry.
Ceva are urging the farming world to nominate their colleagues, associates and members of their communities to ensure that local welfare champions are recognised and celebrated for their great work and ongoing commitment to bettering the lives of animals.
Nominations can be submitted online at www.cevawelfareawards.com.
The deadline for nominations is 22nd January 2016, after which entries will be judged by a panel of esteemed industry professionals, including Christopher Laurence MBE BVSc. A shortlist will be drawn and successful entrants will be invited to an awards ceremony which will once again be taking place at BSAVA.
Awards Judge, Dr Tony Andrews, said: “Nominating a colleague or associate is an excellent way to offer recognition for their hard work and dedication. Many of us are aware of those individuals who always go the extra mile and anyone involved in the farming industry can be nominated. As all of the candidates are looked at by the judges, we would recommend providing plenty of supporting information for the nominee, showing us why they stand out. This information can be very helpful in allowing us to decide our finalists and overall winner from a crowd of highly commendable candidates.”
