Energy Now search for the young stars of renewable energy in farming
Young farmers are being encouraged to enter Energy Now’s competition to win a guest speaking slot at the Energy Now Expo 2013.
The Energy Now team are offering one lucky young winner in the UK the opportunity to display their enthusiasm and thoughts on renewable energy to an audience of UK farmers and renewable energy experts at the 2013 Energy Now Expo, which showcases renewable energy opportunities available to agricultural and rural communities.
Energy Now are looking for someone who wants to make a difference to the future of farming and who uses or would like to use renewable energy methods on their farm.
Do you have an idea that will revolutionise energy saving in the farming world? Have you successfully implemented radical technology to improve your farms’ contribution to being greener or are you in the process of undertaking a technology revamp on your farm? If so, they want to hear from you.
The rules are simple. The competition is open to everyone in the UK under 25 who has a passion for renewable energy in farming and all they ask is that you make a short video clip (2 – 3 minutes) about renewable energy in farming, answering the following question:
“If money was no object, what renewable energy or energy management technology system would you implement to help benefit the farming community?”
Upload the video to YouTube putting #YFENE followed by entrant’s name in the video title, post a link on Facebook (www.facebook.com/energynowmag) and then the Energy Now team will select the top five videos from all the entries to go head to head in the final. The top five videos will be linked to their Facebook and Twitter pages and the video with the most likes, views and re-tweets will be crowned the winner.
The lucky winner will be invited to present their idea in a special session during the 13th -14th February – Energy Now Expo 2013 conference, Telford international Centre. Travel, accommodation and dinner will also be included. This is your opportunity to get in front of some of the most influential figures from the UK farming and renewable energy industry and let them hear what you have to say.
David Jacobmeyer, organiser of Energy Now Expo, said: “We are hoping that this competition will unearth some of the great talent that our farming community in the UK has. We are urging young farmers with a passion for renewable energy to get recording and enter the competition. This is their opportunity to get in front of some of the most influential players in the UK farming and renewable energy industry and let them hear what they have to say.”
The Energy Now Expo, now in its fourth year, is a two-day conference and exhibition designed to bring together farmers and landowners from all over the UK to help them explore and further understand the opportunities available in renewable energy types – wind, biomass, biofuels, biogas, ground source heating, hydro and solar.
