CLA welcomes new England Director at Forestry Commission
The CLA has welcomed the appointment of Ian Gambles as the Forestry Commission’s new Director England.
CLA President Harry Cotterell said: “As the main organisation representing private forestry owners, the CLA congratulates Mr Gambles on his new role.
“It is a challenging yet exciting time to be involved with the forestry industry. The CLA is already working closely with Defra on ash dieback disease and plant health generally, and with the Forestry Commission on a range of issues including woodland creation, management planning and earned recognition.
“We look forward to continuing this work with Mr Gambles and to take forward recommendations from the Government’s response to the Independent Forestry Panel’s report due to be published next week.”
