Boumatic announces global training programme: Boumatic University

BouMatic, a global dairy equipment manufacturer, launched BouMatic University, a new training organization with a global mission to use the industrys latest technology and time-tested BouMatic milking principles for the education of its dealers, employees and key industry influencers.

BouMatic University starts with a simple principle that is the foundation of everything BouMatic produces The milking machine should remove all of the available milk from the cow, gently, quickly and completely, said Jerry Slattery, Global Director of Training. But thats just the beginning. While we have always had training programs, BouMatic University is the global organization that makes certain our educational programs are the latest, most relevant and cover all of the programs our Dealers and Sales Teams need today, he added.

The Global Training Team is taking shape with Carolina Pinzon, Training Coordinator, and Nadine Bouleau, Manager, Training & Exhibitions, coordinating and organizing training programs world wide, Slattery said.

We are also pleased to introduce two incredibly talented Field Training Managers; Johnny Bayart, Field Training Manager/Europe and Mark Walker, Field Training Manager/North America.

Last but not least, Dr. David Reid, an expert veteran in the science of milking cows joins them as Director, Milk Science and Training Development. In addition to training, Dr. Reid will help write and develop the global training curriculum for VIP and CIP training at BouMatic University. Collectively our team has more than 230 years of dairy industry knowledge to share that with our employees and BouMatic Dealers.

BouMatic is committed to World Class Training, as demonstrated by recent investments in updated facilities at its U.S. and European headquarters. The Madison, Wisconsin campus has a new, specialized training room, a new refrigeration lab and a testing and display area. BouMatics European headquarters in Remicourt, Belgium has received extensive updates to its training and lab facilities.

Training sessions offered through BouMatic University are diverse with webinars, self-training modules and classroom sessions conducted regionally, in Madison, Wisconsin, and Remicourt, Belgium.

Our classes are underway and the participation and enthusiasm has been extremely positive, added Jerry Slattery. Just since January 178 Dealer Technicians from 91 Dealerships and 42 BouMatic personnel have attended at least one of our courses. We are looking forward to a successful 2011! Slattery added.
