North Shropshire College welcomes new bus route extending opportunities for students
Due to high demand, North Shropshire College (NSC) has extended their Berriew bus route so that it now begins and picks up in NEWTOWN.
Chloe Edwards, Schools Liaison and Marketing Coordinator at NSC, is happy to be able to promote our new bus routes and travel costs
Due to high demand, North Shropshire College (NSC) has extended their Berriew bus route so that it now begins and picks up in NEWTOWN, starting in September for the 2017/2018 academic year.
Chloe Edwards, Schools Liaison and Marketing Coordinator comments, “After a large amount of prospective students attended our campus open events, the demand for a bus which picked up in Newtown was made apparent”.
The new bus route ensures that students who need to travel from Newtown and the surrounding areas have an easily accessible route to get to both the Oswestry and Walford Campuses, which there will be two separate buses for.
That is not all that is changing, as for the academic year 2017/2018, NSC are making travel to their campuses more affordable. Any students with a household income of £30K and under will be eligible for FREE transport and for those students purchasing a bus pass, the cost will be significantly reduced compared to previous years using a zonal system. We are also introducing a monthly payment scheme where the cost of the bus pass can be paid over 10 monthly instalments rather than in 3 payments like previous years.
For more information about routes and pick-up points, visit the website at www.nsc.ac.uk/student-services. You can apply now for courses starting in September 2017.
