Keep your quality wheat separate this harvest

IT  COULD GET GOOD PREMIUMS LATER THIS SEASON, ADVISES LEADING WHEAT TRADER

Much of the wheat combined to date is of good quality and will be needed at some stage this season at good premiums over feed, comments David Sheppard, Gleadell Agricultures managing director.

We strongly urge farmers to do their utmost to keep wheat already in the barn separate from whatever is combined the next time you are able to access fields.

We have samplers available to test what is already in store  –  and we have good markets for quality wheat, both in the spot position and for forward months –

so it is one of those years where everything will need sampling, he adds.
