SPS 2013 – RPA announces latest figures
The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) has received more than 99,000 Single Payment Scheme (SPS) applications so far this year with increasing numbers of claims made electronically.
As of 15 May, the Agency had received 99,481 applications, with 55,332 of these made electronically and 44,149 on paper. The numbers are likely to increase as further applications are received and assured, with the final numbers known in mid June.
RPA Customer Services Director Justin Chamberlain said: “It is great to see that thousands more of our customers have chosen to make their SPS applications electronically this year.
“People are realising that the system is quick and easy to use and that it saves them valuable time.”
The SPS application closing date was 15 May.
