Tom Stewart-Moore will head up Knight Frank’s Farms Agency department in Scotland
Tom Stewart-Moore has joined Knight Frank to head up the firm’s Farms Agency department in Scotland.
His recruitment is part of an ambitious expansion plan that aims to increase significantly Knight Frank’s share of the Scottish farms market.
A qualified chartered surveyor, Tom has spent the past seven years buying and selling farms throughout Scotland and northern England for another leading agent.
Originally from a dairy farm in Northern Ireland, Tom moved to Edinburgh after graduating from Aberdeen University in 2007. Tom joins an experienced rural team in Edinburgh of Ran Morgan and Michael Jones, and James Denne in Lauder.
Ran Morgan, Head of Knight Frank’s residential and rural property team in Scotland, comments on the decision to expand the firm’s Farms Agency business:
“Despite uncertainty surrounding CAP reform, Scottish farmland of all types offers the best value in the UK and continues to perform consistently well.
“But as a brand within food, agriculture and aquaculture, I believe our nation’s proud heritage is still undervalued and there is great further potential for the farming sector.
“I am absolutely delighted that Tom has joined us to head up the department. He is one of the industry’s leading lights, with enormous energy. As a department we look forward to giving the trusted and dependable advice to the farming industry that has made Knight Frank the world’s leading independent property business.”
Tom comments: “I am very excited to join Knight Frank. With the firm’s well-established and respected brand behind me, this is an extremely exciting opportunity to expand our Scottish Farms Agency business. With 335 offices around the worldwide, our clients’ properties are exposed to a truly global audience of wealthy individuals.”
