New appointments at Limagrain UK

Limagrain UK is delighted to announce new appointments.

Lee Robinson

Lee Robinson takes the helm at Limagrain UK from 1st October 2014

Plant breeders Limagrain UK, part of Group Limagrain, the largest plant breeder and seed development company in the UK and Europe, are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Managing Director for the UK-based business, following the retirement of current MD, Peter Snowden.

Lee Robinson, currently Sales and Marketing director for Limagrain UK will take over his new role as Managing Director of the UK business from 1 October 2014. Mr Robinson has worked for Limagrain since 1988, and during this period has held a range of responsibilities throughout sales and marketing.   “This is a really exciting time for plant breeding as genetics become increasingly important on farm, and as a company owned by farmers our focus is to continue to develop varieties that meet the needs of growers and industry, and this is an area that I will continue to lead and progress.”

Les Daubney

Les Daubney takes on the role of Cereals Product Manager at Limagrain UK from 1 November 2014

“It has been a pleasure to work with Peter Snowden for the last eight years; he has been at the helm of the business during some significant changes, overseeing the merger of Advanta Seeds as well as the acquisition of the Cebeco arable business in the UK.  We wish him all the best in his retirement.”

As a result of Mr Robinsons move from sales and marketing, Les Daubney, currently Oilseeds and Pulse Product Manager will take on the role of Cereals Product Manager, alongside his current responsibilities as Vining Pea Business Manager, from 1 November 2014.

William Compson, currently Arable Wholesale Sales Manager, will take on the additional role of Oilseeds and Pulse Product Manager from Mr Daubney, at the same time.
