Stephen strengthens CLA team in Cheshire and North Shropshire
Stephen Lindoe has joined the Country Land and Business Association (CLA) as territory manager for Cheshire and North Shropshire.

A familiar face to many in the region through his interest in shooting and country sports, Stephen will be responsible for managing the growth of the Association in the area.
Having worked for many years in rural property development, Stephen brings first-hand experience of a range of issues that affect the CLA’s members including planning and change of use, heritage, farm diversification and a wide range of environmental issues.
A landowner and CLA member, Stephen also has a unique grasp of rural issues from the members’ viewpoint, having called on the Association’s expertise to assist with his own work on rights of way, single farm payment and legal issues. Much of his work has taken place in the demanding environment of Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
This gives the association a strong and knowledgeable presence at a time when it has never been more important for farmers and rural businesses to belong to a strong membership organisation.
Stephen says: “I can say with experience that anyone who owns or manages land, whether for farming or a diverse range of rural business, will benefit from the CLA’s help, advice and support as well as regular and relevant information helping members keep up with changing legislation and market pressures.
“Having now seen the Association from the inside, I can say without contradiction that we have some of the best brains in the industry working on behalf of members, in the region and our London HQ, supported by our public affairs staff who lobby tirelessly in Westminster and Brussels.”
