Paul Sansom becomes new Head of Sales for Audi UK

Audi UK’s premium car specialist moves into new joint retail and fleet sales role.

Paul Sansom becomes the new Head of Sales for Audi UK with effect from September 3

Paul Sansom will take up the role of Head of Sales for Audi UK, with responsibility for both new and used car sales with effect from Monday September 3. The remit for this newly created role includes overall control of both retail and fleet sales for the first time in order to foster more efficient and more effective working practices across the two disciplines.

Sansom succeeds Head of Operations Alison Jones, who earlier this year moved into a new Volkswagen Group role, although his portfolio will be expanded to take in Audi Fleet Sales, the departmental head of which will report directly to him.

A Volkswagen Group UK employee for 10 years, Sansom has already amassed plenty of experience within Audi as National Sales Manager, and most recently as Head of Aftersales and Service. During his career he has also had considerable involvement in the fleet market as Head of Fleet Sales at another premium car brand.

Commenting on the appointment, Director of Audi UK Martin Sander said: “I am delighted that this new and challenging role is in Paul’s capable hands. I will be looking to him to unify the two teams so that we can maximise synergies and ensure Audi has the best possible sales processes, systems and programmes in place to help us realise our ambition of becoming the Number 1 Premium Brand in the UK.“

Audi UK delivered more than 113,000 new cars last year, and is currently the lead brand in the premium sector sales rankings with just over 75,000 deliveries so far this year and a market share of 6.2 per cent.
