Markus Ferch Joins Arctic Cat as General Manager of Arctic Cat Europe

Effective December 1, 2011, Markus Ferch will be joining Arctic Cat as the General Manager of Arctic Cat Europe replacing Bill Barthold, who has held the position on an interim basis for the last 16 months. Markus will be responsible for leading all of Arctic Cat’s ATV European efforts.

Markus’s business background includes a variety of sales and management assignments throughout his career and he has spent the majority of his career in power sports.

Before joining his current employer, Solaris Austria as their Managing Director, Markus held several positions with various firms including KTM, BMW, and Moto-Sports Handels AG, an importer of Husquarna motorcycles for Germany, Austria and Slovenia.

Markus possesses a broad business background, channel and industry experience, and great relationship-building skills, which will make him a tremendous addition to the Arctic Cat team.

Markus is a graduate of Salzburg University in Austria where he attained his law degree.

Markus has lived in Central Europe all of his life. He enjoys outdoor activities including downhill skiing, cross country skiing and motocross racing. Markus and his wife Claire have two children, Olivia who is 3 and Florian who is 1. They will continue living in the Salzburg area.
