Milk Link is pleased to announce that after a strongly fought contest Antony Adorian has been elected by its Full Member Council as a Farmer Director and will sit on the Milk Link Governing Board for a three year term.  Antony replaces Robert Ranson who after three terms serving as a Farmer Director has decided to step down from the Board.

Antony is a founder Member of Milk Link and has been chair of the Eastern Region Council Group for the past four years.  He currently milks 300 cows at his Gibbons Mill Farm near Billingshurst, West Sussex, whilst his wider business experience includes having worked in the City for Goldman Sachs and Kleinwort Benson. Commenting on his election Antony said, I feel very honoured to have been elected by my fellow Council Members as a Farmer Director. I hope to bring real value to the business and play a part in Milk Links continued development as a market leader in the UK dairy industry.

Commenting on Antonys election Ronnie Bell, Milk Link Chairman said, I am delighted that Antony has been elected and have no doubt that he will bring substantial skills and experience to the boardroom. As a Farmer Director, he will play an important role in helping develop and monitor the effectiveness of Milk Links values and strategy and ensure that they remain appropriate both to the competitive marketplace we operate in and to the needs of our farmer owners.

I know that the election was extremely hard fought with both candidates impressing the Council with their business acumen and enthusiasm for continuing the growth and development of Milk Link. Indeed, I think that the quality of the candidates that put themselves forward for election is a further sign of the increasing strength and maturity of Milk Link.

Finally, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Robert Ranson for the hard work and commitment he has shown as a Farmer Director over the last nine years.
