Top agribusiness authority to lead Plant Impacts global business drive
Plant Impact plc (AIM: PIM), an innovator in crop enhancement solutions, announces the appointment of leading agribusiness authority Dr David Jones as Chairman with immediate effect.
Martin Robinson, who has been the Groups Chairman since 2005, will remain on the Board as a non-executive director. The Board would like to thank Martin Robinson for his considerable contribution to the Groups development since his appointment in 2005.
David Jones has extensive and senior experience in the agribusiness sector which the Board believes will be very beneficial to Plant Impacts development. David Jones was the Chairman of Arysta Lifescience Corporation between 2008 and 2010. From 2000-2007, David Jones was Head of Business Development for Syngenta International having previously been Strategy and Product Director of Zenecas Agrochemicals Division. From 2000 to 2003, he was the principal manager for the Syngenta merger. This involved the simultaneous demerging of the agricultural businesses of Novartis and Zeneca, the unification in a new entity Syngenta and the immediate flotation on three exchanges.
Prior to this David Jones had marketing/operational roles in Asia, Europe and emerging markets.
