New Chairman for UK Dairy Farmers Forum
Rex Ward, a dairy farmer from North Cornwall, has been elected Chairman of the UK Dairy Farmers Forum.
Rex succeeds Roger Evans, who has been responsible for steering the Forum for the last two years.
Lyndon Edwards from Chepstow has been elected Vice Chairman.
Commenting on his election, Rex Ward said:Under Roger Evans chairmanship, the Farmers Forum has developed into an extremely positive and influential body. I am looking forward to continuing this development and in particular to working with Dairy UK to represent and promote the interests of dairy farmers within the dairy supply chain.
The UK Dairy Farmers Forum brings together dairy farmer groups, both political and commercial, in order to provide cohesive and dynamic representation for dairy farmers. The Forum co-ordinates farmer interests throughout the UK and provides a means of articulating farmer representation within Dairy UK.
