The Midlands branch of the Surveyors RECAP Ltd ( http://www.surveyorsrecap.co.uk/ ) donated £2,000 to farming charity the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I.) to help support flood affected farmers in the South and South West of the country.
Pictured is Nick Hansen, chairman of the Surveyors RECAP group who also runs the Ashbourne branch of Bagshaws, presenting a cheque to R.A.B.I. Regional Manager Milly Wastie at a recent meeting in March. Milly was able to say a few words about R.A.B.I. and explain how the charity has been supporting those hit by the flooding.
Milly said ‘R.A.B.I. gave over £31,000 in grants during February to farmers to assist with household and domestic needs which arose due to flooding. ‘This could be used for anything required by affected people to alleviate their distress’. ‘R.A.B.I. is so grateful to the generosity of rural groups such as the Surveyors RECAP who have donated to help likeminded people in other parts of the country’.
