The British Hydropower Association is delighted that NatWest/Royal Bank of Scotland [RBS] has joined the Association as a Principle Company member.
Ian Burrow, Head of Agriculture and Renewable Energy at NatWest/RBS, said: “Hydropower represents a huge opportunity for businesses considering renewable energy in the UK.
“With continuing pressure for businesses to become more sustainable, more and more are considering whether renewable energy technologies would work for them.
“Last year we extended our energy finance policy to include future earnings from hydro projects into consideration when assessing funding.
“As the only UK trade membership association that focuses solely on the demands of the growing hydropower sector, the British Hydropower Association works closely with their members best interests – and I’m delighted we are now a part of that.”
British Hydropower Association Chief Executive Officer, Simon Hamlyn said – “We are delighted to welcome NatWest/RBS into BHA membership. The BHA is at the forefront of the drive to promote hydropower technology as a sustainable and the least visually intrusive and with the lowest lifetime cost to the consumer of all renewable technologies.
“The BHA is a good fit with NatWest/RBS and we very much look forward to working closely with them and supporting their future development and investment plans.”
