ADBA welcomes energy entrepreneurs fund
Green economic growth is positively reinforced with additional financial support from the government.
Responding to DECC’s announcement for £19M available to support innovative products in energy efficiency, storage and low carbon generation, Charlotte Morton, Chief Executive, ADBA said:
“There is a huge amount of innovation across the AD sector, and programmes such as the Energy Entrepreneurs Fund which support this are very welcome.
“New AD technology will help the industry deliver not only a significant contribution to the UK’s renewable energy targets, but also bring benefits to sustainable food production, move us closer to a closed-loop economy and help efficient use and treatment of water. The UK AD market is already contributing hugely to green economic growth having almost doubled in size in the past year, and with the right support has the potential to realise huge export markets in future years.
“It’s great to see the Secretary of State recognise these benefits by choosing an AD facility to launch the second phase of the Energy Entrepreneurs Fund.”
