Evance small wind turbines now available for Mole Valley Farmers

There has been a large increase in the take up of small wind turbines across the country as more and more farmers and landowners look to reduce their energy costs and operate more sustainably.

To support those in the South of England the Evance R9000 small wind turbine is now available to all 30,000 members of Mole Valley Farmers.

“We have seen a lot of interest from our members for renewable energy solutions. So to support our members we have partnered with Evance, the UK manufacturer of the R9000 5kW turbine,” stated Steve Edmunds, director of Mole Valley Farmers.

“We chose to work with Evance as the company has a proven track record of manufacturing highly efficient and reliable small wind turbines. Other benefits to our members are that the R9000 turbine is unobtrusive, with a low noise profile, so has minimal impact on the surroundings, a very important factor these days. Also it’s highly efficient design means that a multiple installation could outperform a single higher rated turbine,” explained Steve Edmunds.

By installing an Evance R9000 small wind turbine on a site with an annual mean wind speed of 6m/s, the turbine will generate over 13,600kWh of energy. This is equivalent to annual energy cost savings of up to £1,760, depending on electricity consumption and assuming a rate of 13p per kWh. With two machines the generation figure would be over 27,200 kWh. As well as the utility cost savings, Mole Valley members will also be able to receive Feed-in Tariff, an income for generating renewable energy, as the R9000 is MCS certified.
