Today BBC Haymarket Exhibitions announced the winners of its Producers Bursary Award Scheme for the BBC Good Food Show Winter. For the past 6 months a dedicated team from BBC Haymarket has been scouring the country to find the very best, most deserving and outstanding producers to award them with bursaries to attend the BBC Good Food Show Winter.

Katy Truss, Manager of the Producers Village at the Show says We had a tremendous response in terms of applications and the quality of producers has been exceptional. Through regional food groups and associations including Slow Food and FoodLoversBritain.com – and even Twitter – we have discovered producers that we wouldn’t otherwise have known.

Over 70 applications have been received from a wide range of quality producers and the qualifying applications were then judged by a panel including Gillian Carter, editor of BBC Good Food magazine, Lulu Grimes, food director at BBC Magazines Food Group and Clare Hargreaves, food editor of Countryfile magazine and contributor to BBC Good Food magazine. Decisions were based on the producers passion, quality of product and how the visitors would appreciate meeting them, sampling their produce and buying from them at the Show.
